New course:

PIW now offers a course on the Esthetics of Video Editing, covering the basic principles that professional editors utilize to orchestrate compelling narratives. This course is ideal for those who would like to build a career as professional editors as well as for those who would like to edit their own projects.

Avid Xpress Pro:

Following Avid’s Certified curriculum, this hands-on course covers everything you need to know about Avid Xpress Pro for basic editing. Students will learn nonlinear editing principles and procedures for inputting source footage, assembling, creating and trimming sequences, editing audio, creating titles and outputting a finished sequence.

This is a great way of learning the entire Avid interface (Avid Media Composer, Adrenaline, and Symphony), since the more advanced Avid systems share similar interface with Avid Xpress Pro.

There are three different schedules for the course of Avid Xpress Pro:

One-Week [weeknight] Program:
18 Hours / Tuition $890
Monday- Saturday, 6:30pm – 9:30pm

Weekend Program:
12 Hours / Tuition $720
Saturday & Sunday 10am – 5pm
